Self Evaluation

Which Soundtrack are you
most pleased with and why?
|
I ams most pleased with the
Joker scene soundtrack because I feel as if the sounds used were more
accurate to each different individual action taking place such as the button
pressing or the explosions and even the people screaming run onto the bus
|
How have you used diegetic
sound?
|
I did use diegetic sounds
during the scenes where certain things were taking place like the explosions
happening in the hospital and also when The Joker was constantly mashing the
button for the explosion to happen outside the hospital. These were all
diegetic sounds because the sounds were matching the scenes each time such
as the explosion and they were all heard by the characters in the movie world
so The Joker was able to see and hear every explosion that took place. I found
these different sounds by searching for them on YouTube in every different appropriate
scene. When the explosions happened I searched for explosions sounds on
YouTube etc.
|
How have you used non
diegetic sound?
|
Yes I used non diegetic
sound with the sound effects of glass falling and building collapsing to create
more of a danger effect. However I never did add 'mood music' which is basically music to create a particular mood or feeling for the audience mainly. I never added this at the time because I had thought the Joker scene will be obvious enough for the audience to realise what the scene is about when he is using the button to create the explosion.

What peer feedback did you
get? (comment on it)
|
I had positive feedback on
my soundtrack as my peers who viewed the scene described it as being ‘good’
but some slight improvements could be made such as using more background
music to add to the scene more and make it seem a bit more real

What could you do to
further improve your Soundtrack?
|
I could add a more wider range of sound effects and make them all suitable for the recurring scene also whilst doing it. I could add background music to have the scene feel more action packed and/or dangerous to follow through with the way the scene is going and make sure it suits the scene to make the viewers more hyped up whilst watching it.
