The Interactive London Map (Media Content Design and Production Personal Project Management)

Start Date: 17th April Tuesday
I started off my design project by initially creating a brainstorm of different landmarks I could possibly write about and make an animation for around London including places which are close to me to travel to. I then decided to choose London Stadium, the home of West Ham United, to make an animation and give facts about. I chose this Landmark in London because I am a football fan and also because it is one of the closest places to reach from where I live.

Tuesday 24th April:
After choosing this to be what I make an animation about, I researched facts about the stadium and found out when they started building it originally for the Olympics in 2012. I also found out when West Ham first moved in to the stadium. I also found out what landmarks surround the London Stadium such as Westfield Stratford City Centre.

Tuesday 1st May:                                                                                     Before:
I started to plan my storyboard for my animation which was showing West Ham's stadium and also possibly footballs being kicked around by players with some fireworks maybe going on in the background.

Tuesday 8th May:
I started working on my animation from this day onward. I was creating the front of the London Stadium but when i first was experimenting with the creation of it, it did not go as planned and I had to go over it with the help of some other students. However the drawing of the West Ham United logo did look better after a few attempts of going over it.
                                                                                                                  After:

Tuesday 15th May:

On this day there was a strike involving the teachers so even though I did come in to the lesson, I was not as productive as I could've been. However I was looking at YouTube videos about different ideas including what shapes and colours to use for my animation. I was looking at the person known for his animations called 'Len Lye' which gave me ideas to use different types of colours.

This animation is where I tried to create something based on Len Lye's animation. I will try to add this somehow to my animation about the London Stadium.
Tuesday 22nd May:
This is the day I was working on opening up the doors of the stadium and how to make it look smooth. It took me a few attempts but at the end with the help of some fellow students I finally did it myself and started working on what I wanted to happen when the doors do open.

Tuesday 29th May:
I never came in during this day as it was half term and stayed at home.

Tuesday 5th June:
In this lesson I started to use the Animate CC application for the first time. I was struggling at first but then got the hand of it and started to draw fireworks and some sort of explosions to see what suits my animation best. I ended up going for fireworks going in opposite directions from the bottom corners. I also ended up making an explosion take place to show excitement taking place when you step inside the stadium.

Tuesday 12th June

Tuesday 19th June (Final deadline)
